Key Facts About Haccamo:

Founded by the Rotary Clubs of Monroe County in 1956, Camp Haccamo provides a week-long, overnight camping experience for young people in the Greater Rochester area with all types of developmental or other disabilities.

Children with cancer, with Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy... children in wheelchairs... it doesn't matter. Camp Haccamo accepts them all -- at no charge to campers' families.

The Camp provides one-week sessions for children 7 to 17, and  for young adults 18 to 28.

The Camp employs a full-time nurse and trained counselors, plus our volunteers.

Camp sessions are chocked full of activities -- nature studies, arts and crafts, boating, fishing, miniature golf, swimming, softball, field trips, and much more.

The last overnight stay each week features a special event, such as a Halloween party, Mardi Gras festival, Hawiian luau, or the hugely popular Senior Prom.
